Love is a topic that could go on forever, so many experiences of what love is, but what is love really?
But are there different frequencies of love? Like the air that we breathe can be cool or warm, the wispiness of the wind blowing a breeze or a hurricane can evoke feelings of soothing calm or rapturous delight in the extensive emotion of dramatic play in life’s journey.
Yet that same sky is the love we may seek inside another, that ‘other’ being a mere reflection of our soul’s light, our own mirrored remembering of who we really are as we clear the sky and see through the eyes of source that resides deep inside each and everyone one of us?
The love for a friend, a child, a beloved pet, does this differ from the love of lovers? What different frequencies do we emit and embody as we love deeply and open to that deep awareness of openness of divine love?
It is easy to say love is not envy, love is not longing or fear, but what if love brings those same feelings to the surface to announce to the world that we are ready for a new way of being the love that we are?
Love knows no limits, but as humans are we able to trust that love to be there if a loved one passes onto the world of spirit, or a lover discovers another, how then do we seek and remember that the source of all love is within us all?
Life has brought to me the experience of love lately, in the form of a new love. The love within me can feel incredibly scary, sometimes feels out of control, yet as love has no limits, who am I to try and control the feeling of love?
Fear Of Loss
Many great monks and wise masters have felt very centred, calm and peaceful when alone, but once they return to their families or to the world of people and lovers, suddenly that calm sea is disturbed because relating brings up greater awakening because the mirror of another highlights those areas where we are withholding love from ourselves and others, where we are selfish and need to be more selfless, where we are stuck in comfort when change comes a knocking.
Fear can harden the heart to love. Yet like a hail storm raining from the sky, eventually it melts. For love means to love, even when old fears arise.
With a new love, we can have many fears, it can be hard sometimes to trust the process of simply loving, whatever happens, to stay present and to keep coming home to self, to be present with ‘what is’ and allow the clouds to pass on through.
Love knows no boundaries.
There is attraction and then there is love.
Attraction can fade, attraction is temporary. Love is in the heart and is the soul. It is always there. It never leaves us. Much like the sky never departs, as clouds cover it and we see no blue, we trust and know the sky to always be there and so too, there is love.
Love is inside us all.
Trying to fall in love is like trying to make your heart beat backwards. It can’t be done. I am already what you are. And so we don’t fall in love; we simply notice that we are in love already, and always have been. We don’t fall in love; it is the ‘we’, the ‘me’ and the ‘you’, the ‘inbetween’, that falls away in love, revealing the intimacy of our own absence. We are all so deeply in love that we don’t realise it. – Jeff Foster
