Gorgeous natural beauty hamper prize for 1 lucky winner!

As many of you may know I am a real lover of bees, rescuing them from spider webs, my home, anywhere I can and getting the word out about how important bees are to this planet. It felt only right to celebrate the beautiful bee here by introducing a lovely UK based company.

Honey Bee Beautiful

‘Honey Bee Beautiful’ is a Welsh company based in South Wales. They not only keep and care for the amazing bees but make and sell hand-made cosmetics all natural and made with love.

For this ’12 Days of Christmas’ give-away I was given the opportunity to experience some of their sumptuous and nurturing products.

For the give-away Honey Bee Beautiful have offered one lucky winner a beautiful bee-loving Christmas hamper full of their lovely products. I also got the chance to try the products too.

About

~Honey Bee Beautiful

My name is Catherine Clark and I started keeping bees 4 years ago on a farm in Llangybi in Monmouthshire, South Wales. It is fair to say that the bees have quite literally taken over my life and in addition to caring for them and extracting the honey and beeswax, we also make a delicious range of 100% natural skincare products free from chemicals and any other nasties so that you can care for your skin the way nature intended – naturally!

What Is So Good About Honey?

Before I begin the review I wanted to share a little on why honey is so good for the skin.

Honey has great moisturizing properties, soothes, and also is anti-bacterial and hydrates the skin. This can help reduce the chance of blemishes. From further research some people using raw honey on the skin have found a great reduction in their acne. This is really hopeful to me and my sensitive skin and adult acne.

‘Honey Bee Beautiful’ Says:

It is a ‘humectant’ which means that it attracts moisture and keeps it locked inside so the skin remains supple and elastic. It is loaded with antioxidants and helps restore damaged and wrinkled skin.

Honey’s natural antioxidant and anti-microbial properties protects the skin and encourages rejunvination and natural healing.

The Honey Bee Beautiful Christmas Gift Hamper

100% Natural Honey & Lemon Meringue Shimmering Body Butter (50g)

This comes in a circular tin with lovely natural packaging and design. It is lightweight so perfect for taking travelling or on holiday.

One thing I notice about this butter is that it is 100% natural and as I open the lid the scent is dreamy. I wish I could offer the smell through the screen – you will love it.

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Lemon Essential Oil, Honey, Mica Powder, (Limonene, Citral, Geraniol, Linalool).

It may be winter but the uplifting scent of lemon in this divine shea butter base and the nourishing properties of honey make me feel incredibly feminine and beautiful. While this may be fantastic in the summer I think it is ideal all year round including the busy Christmas season when we want to look good and smell nice and adds a little extra sparkle to an outfit.
It feels so soft on my skin and has just the right amount of sparkle for a lovely night out.

100% Natural Honey Hand Balm With Mandarin & Lavender (50g)

Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax, Shea Butter, Calendula Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Honey, Lavender Essential Oil, Mandarin Essential Oil, (Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool).

This also comes in a lightweight round tin with natural packaging detail. What I love most about this intense hand balm is you can smell both the mandarin and lavender when you smooth it onto your hands. I often find you smell one scent over another but not with this balm; the lavender and mandarin complement one another brilliantly.
I love hand creams and balms. I love to carry one around in my handbag because there is something deeply personal about rubbing beautiful moisturizing scents into the palms, very caring and considerate of oneself, not to mention the ability to inhale lovely aromas every now and again when you are out and about. I also am forcing this balm onto my best friend who I share a home with, who really likes this balm. He has what you call asbestos hands, lifts things out of the oven bare handed and puts his hands into chemicals that have caused dry hands and broken nails.  So he is rubbing it into his hands and nails to rejuvenate the skin there.

One thing I noticed about this balm is that a little goes a long way; you really don’t need much so this is perfect for those dry chapped hands during the winter when the cold sets in.  Or for anyone who has chaffed hands from gardening.

This balm is incredibly healing and moisturizing due to the honey, beeswax and calendula.

Honey Bee Beautiful says:

Works best rubbed in before bed and left overnight to let nature work its magic.

100% Natural Honey & Beeswax Lip Balm with Mandarin (15g)

Summer I need lip balm, winter I really need lip balm. I am one of those people that if I go a few days without lip balm my lips are so dry and sore. I tried going ‘au natural’ to make sure my lips were not addicted, but realise that years of using chemical lip balms probably caused the damage in the first place, for me personally. So now I tend to opt for natural balms wherever I can.

Ingredients: Sweet Almond, Oil , Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E Oil , Honey plus either:- Mandarin Essential Oil; Geranium Essential Oil; Lavender Essential Oil ; or Peppermint Essential Oil.

This natural honey & beeswax lip balm is so soothing and ‘Honey Bee Beautiful’ give you the option of plain honey or with the addition of mandarin, rose geranium  lavender or peppermint. I was delighted to receive the lip balm with the additional mandarin oil.

It comes in a small 5g pot that fits perfectly in my pocket or bag when I am out and about in town or going on my hikes into nature.

And finally a super cute Christmas stocking filler, Christmas Tree soap…

Christmas Tree Honey Soap With Essential Oils Of Orange, Cinnamon & Clove

I remember as a child always receiving a shaped soap at Christmas. It could be an animal, a soap shape piece of fruit but always it smelled glorious and I quite enjoyed receiving it. This little Christmas tree soap is no different.

It comes into a lovely little orange bag with a ribbon and is a really smooth softening soap. The scent is totally in keeping with the season.

To me this is perfect for Christmas morning or if you have family and friends staying over to make the bathroom smell all Christmassy. A great little stocking filler.

Ingredients:

Sodium Cocate, Sodium Oliviate, Sodium Sunflower Seedate, Sodium Castorate, Sodium Beeswax, Honey, Orange Essential Oil, Clove Essential oil, Cinnamon Essential Oil, Eugonel, Limonena, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamal, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Isoengenol, Cousmarin, Citral.

Honey Bee Beautiful also do a range of gorgeous facial creams and serums.

A non-greasy but super moisturising body lotion – my skin is VERY dry, and SLS's from washes or dryness of soaps makes it worse – most natural body lotions, moisturisers, or body butters are just too greasy which irritate my skin and aren't nice to use.
